How Feedback works

Whenever you buy or deliver a service on sprawk, we ask you to leave feedback about the transaction that reflects your experience with the customer or freelancer.

Over time, members of sprawk develop a feedback profile, or reputation, based on the comments and ratings left by other members. The feedback score is one of the most important pieces of a feedback profile. It’s the number in parentheses next to a member’s name and it’s also located at the top of the member’s feedback profile.

How are feedback Scores calculated?Jump to the top of the page

For each transaction, customers and freelancers can choose to rate each other by leaving feedback. Customers can leave a positive, negative, or a neutral rating, plus a comment. Freelancers can leave a positive rating and a comment.

These ratings are used to determine feedback scores. In most cases, members receive:

  • +1 point for each positive rating
  • No points for each neutral rating
  • -1 point for each negative rating

For longer tasks (over 1000 words), members will receive multiple points for each 1000-word block.

You should leave feedback for each task. However, we’ll calculate the other member’s feedback score differently depending on whether multiple sales occurred in the same week.

Why leave feedback?Jump to the top of the page

Leaving honest comments gives members a good idea of what to expect when dealing with other members. Leaving feedback is also a way to increase the goodwill of the sprawk community by expressing your appreciation for a job well done. Finally, if you are a customer, you can help spread the word about a freelancer you like, and if you are a freelancer, you can help recognize and reward loyal customers, which encourages them to buy from you again.

Feedback comments become a permanent part of a freelancer’s record. If you are a customer, contact your freelancer to try to resolve any issues before leaving neutral or negative feedback. Please make sure that your comments are fair, based in fact, and relate to the specific task for which you received the feedback request.

Can I leave more detailed feedback for a freelancer?Jump to the top of the page

As a customer, you can rate your freelancer in four additional areas: item as described, communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling charges. These ratings do not count toward the freelancer’s feedback Score, and are anonymous. Learn more about providing detailed freelancer ratings.

Detailed freelancer ratings from the same customer are counted in the same way as feedback. Only one every week is included in the freelancer's score.

In some situations, we can remove Feedback.
