Integration Integration
Javascript websites and applications

Translate your Javascript website or application

The Sprawk Javascript library provides a simple method to localize your Javascript menus, popups, validation and error messages. The library requires jQuery and a Sprawk team account to function. Due to Javascript domain security, it requires that you configure a local proxy so that the /sprawk path on your web server passes through to sprawk.com. Then you can simply call $.t(''Some text here'') to translate a string to the visitor''s preferred language.

The configuration requires you to register a Sprawk team, where you will receive a team code and a public key. Alternatively, you can register your web server''s IP address to your Sprawk account.

All Javascript content managed in one place

The Sprawk Javascript library and server collects all strings from your content, menus and user messages. Our translation dashboard shows you which common strings are missing translations and which pages are most visited in which languages. This way you can make better decisions about where to spend your limited professional translation budget.

You don''t need to waste your time adding localization in the core of your application while you are prototyping or developing. Translation becomes an abstraction which you can manage and test separately.

Tools for in-house translators

Your own translators can be assigned tasks from the Sprawk dashboard. They will automatically have access to similar sentences previously translated to help you save time and keep things consistent.

Background

JavaScript is primarily used in the form of client-side JavaScript, implemented as part of a web browser in order to provide enhanced user interfaces and dynamic websites. However, its use in applications outside web pages is also significant.

jQuery

jQuery is a cross-browser JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML. It is the most popular JavaScript library in use today. jQuery also provides capabilities for developers to create plugins on top of the JavaScript library (such as the Sprawk Javascript translation library). This contributes to the creation of powerful and dynamic web pages.
